“You cannot be stubborn to your husband and expect a peaceful marriage” – Nollywood actress, Ann Edidem



Nollywood actress, Ann Edidem has explained her view on the continuous marriage fails in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

This year alone, Mercy Aigbe and Tonto Dikeh left their marital homes over domestic violence amongst other claims.

“I appreciate the fight against domestic violence because some men are so untrained about the issue of marriage,” Ann told GoldmyneTV during a recent chat. “But what happens to the good men, should they be psychologically killed by their women because of fear of not being included among the men that beat up their women? No.”

Ann Edidem made her acting debut as Sacramento in ‘Sexy Vampires’ with Ini Edo and Oge Okoye. She also starred in ‘Child Seller,’ alongside, Mike Ezuruonye, Patience Ozokwor, Mercy Johnson and Angela Okorie.

“All I say here is that women should also be educated on the laws of marriage because it has laws just like all other institutions,” the “Sexy Vampire” actress continued. “A wife cannot disobey and be stubborn to her husband and still expect a peaceful marriage.

“Fighting against domestic violence without educating today’s women, also, about the laws of marriage is like going to the farm without the farm tools. The strongest law is “wife submits to your husband and husband love your wife.”

“Women should be respectful. You can never be equal with your husband, apply respect to your marriage and see if he will be violence with you. If he does, then I support you to make a wise decision.”

39kg of cocaine found on plane carrying Brazil president's team

Bags filled with cocaine were discovered on a military plane travelling with the president of Brazil to the G20 summit on Tuesday, allegedly planted there by a Brazilian air force member. . . The plane was making a stopover in Seville, Spain, before heading to this week’s G20 summit in Tokyo, Japan, when the Brazilian air force officer was detained. . . The officer was “suspected of transporting narcotic substances,” the Brazilian Defence Military said in a statement to CNN, which prompted officials to search the plane. . . Spanish police said cocaine was found in suitcases. The drugs amount to approximately 39 kilograms. . . Military personnel were travelling with the president as protection. Mother says her 8-year-old daughter was not raped by a man but sexually abused by a woman

Mother of 8-year-old Oluwatosin Abosede, has quashed claims of her daughter being dragged to a store and raped by an unknown man.  Twitter user @YemieFash relayed the information he got on the platform after his phone conversation with the mother of the girl who said her daughter was sexually abused by a woman whose whereabouts is currently unknown. It was also learnt that the police have commenced an investigation into the incident after being accused of having cold feet. He tweeted; I have been able to reach the mother of the 8year old girl that was raped in Irele, Ondo State. She said her daughter was not raped as reported earlier, she said a lady forcefully penetrated her daughter with her hand. You can listen here.
