Toyin Aimakhu’s Presentation At NEClive5, A Yay Or Nay Experience?

Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu turned Abraham was one of the Spwakers at the recently concluded 5th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference, NEClive, where she spoke about the growth of Nollywood when compared to Hollywood.

For an actress whose lifestyle was surrounded by acting, one would’ve expected the actress to switch to character and act the role, because she did not do a good job with living the role.

Okay, so let’s say we’ll permit some errors because of her announcement, saying that was her first time in doing a presentation, but then, does that mean Toyin Aimakhu turned Abraham didn’t defend her final year project in school, because every university student would’ve presented in front of an audience one way or the other, but let’s not make that our concern…for now.

A major flop that I have with this presentation is the fact that the talented actress couldn’t do without looking at her presentation… like you have been practicing for years! This should be a field you come and talk to the people about like a professional whose recognition was gotten from years of practices, not a rookie who is also trying to convince herself of what she’s saying to the audience. She kept staring at her papers and the projector, making mistake she with words and showing her audience that she was opening the presentation for the first time… that’s probably not true, but that was the impression she gave most people. The content of the presentation was rich, but it was not delivered with as much confidence as we expected from our Toyin Abraham.
