Slow Country Screens Privately Yesterday… And It Already Won An Award!
Slow country was privately screened for the first time at the Genesis cinemas in Maryland, yesterday, 21st of April and all wondered how it came to be that a movie that has never been watched by the better part of the population in the country could end up winning one of the highest awards at the AMVCA’s, not forgetting, its many nominations.
Speaking with the Producer of the movie, Eric Aghimien, who confirmed this, said that it also came as a surprise to Him, that the movie got so many nominations and eventually won, saying that perhaps the movie met with the AMVCA’s requirement to being nominated.
The movie, Slow country, which basically focused on the life of a young girl who had to result to drug trafficking and prostitution to survive and care for her son features a host of talented actors like, Majid Michel, Sambasa Nzeribe, Tope Tedela, Ivie Okujaiye and a host of others.
Slow Country will make it the second movie by Eric Aghimien that has won him awards and given Him great recognition in the Nollywood industry and will hit the cinemas on the 5th of May.
