NURTW members reject MC Oluomo's appointment as chairman of caretaker committee in Lagos
Crisis hit Lagos State on Wednesday, September 4th as members of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) staged a protest, and rejected the choice of popular Oshodi union member, Musiliu Akinsanya, popuularly known as MC Oluomo as the caretaker chairman.
There was tension in many parts of the NURTW unit in Lagos as hundreds of members of the union marched out in protesting a the Lagos State secretariat in Alausa, Lagos State.
The protest came as a result of the decision of the national headquaters of the union to dissolve the state council, and appointing popular Oshodi union member, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo as the caretaker chairman.
