Police shutdown venue of Bobrisky's 28th birthday party in Lekki

Bobrisky's 28th birthday party might not hold again today August 31st as policemen have shutdown the venue of the party scheduled to hold at an event center in Lekki. Police officers in various operational vehicles, stormed the venue and cordonned off the area this evening as the much talked about party was about to kick off. This development comes two days after Bobrisky dragged Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, who last week, said he is a National disgrace and will soon be dealt with by the government if caught on the street.

One killed, 19 vehicles burnt in Niger State tanker explosion

A tanker explosion which occurred at Dilko Junction in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State by 10pm on Friday August 30, left one dead and 10 others injured.  19 vehicles were also destroyed in the incident while the injured victims were rushed to Umar Musa Hospital in Sabon Wuse. It was also learnt that firefighters from the State Fire Service who turned up at the scene of the incident with their colleagues in the Federal Fire Service were only able to bring the fire under control around 4:30 am on Saturday morning.

DJ Arafat's grave forced open by fans for social media photos (videos)

Few hours after DJ Arafat was laid to rest at Williamsville cemetery in Abidjan’s working-class Adjame district, his grave was desecrated by fans for social media photos.  The incident occurred just after Ivoriens paid their last tribute to the late entertainer in an overnight grand funeral concert which began on Friday August 30. AFP reported that some fans were injured after the police fired tear gas to disperse the grave profaners who forced open the fresh grave and coffin, taking photos and videos they shared on social media. A royal grand funeral concert was held on Friday August 30, in honor of late Ivorien entertainer DJ Arafat at the 35,000-capacity Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium. The event in which A-list African stars such as Davido, Sidiki Diabate, Fally Ipupa and Serge Beynaud performed in, had some happy and teary moments. The coffin of the “coupe-decale” singer who was conferred with the national order of cultural merit for “his immense contribution to the artistic radiance” of Ivory Coast before the grand send-off, was placed in the middle of the stadium as his fans paid their last respect. There is nothing wrong in impregnating your maid - Counselor Lutterodt advises men

Controversial Ghanaian marriage and relationship counselor, Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt has once again stirred the pool of controversy by saying there's nothing wrong with men impregnating their maids while still married. The controversial relationship counselor backed his assertion by stating some women are infertile or barren. According to Lutterodt, men shouldn't be criticized when they take the bold step of impregnating their wives because she can't have kids.  Also pointing out that some women have bad characters and end up not playing their role as wives, Counselor Lutterodt stated that a man falling in love with his maid because he wants a peaceful home is a walk in the right direction.  “If a wife is not exhibiting a good character and the maid is doing such, then what makes it wrong for the husband to make a move by going for the maid. Friends mourn young mother who died during childbirth

Friends are mourning an outgoing young mother who died during childbirth. Ifeoma Mauryn Charles Denis reportedly died on August 27 while giving birth to her second child. Ifeoma, who is apparently well loved as can be seen from the numerous tributes being shared by friends on Facebook, was a teacher. Her last Facebook post before she died was on August 21, 6 days before she passed. It was a Bible quote from Psalm 91:1.  Below are tributes from loved ones.

Car snatchers arrested with 150 phones

150 phones have been recovered from car snatchers arrested by the Anambra State Police Command in Delta State.  The suspects identified as Anyingor Arinze of Otueke, Asaba Delta State; Chinedu Nweke of Mbekwe Estate, Ogidi and Ebuka Christian Eziamaka of Ire village, Obosi, both of Idemili North LGA of Anambra State are reportedly members of a gang involved in series of armed robbery/carjacking in Anambra and Asaba axis. The phones recovered from the car snatchers after their arrest by operatives of Puff Adder in collaboration with police detectives attached to Aguata Division of the command, is suspected to have been stolen from their different victims. Fears of an increased number of HIV/Aids hit Uganda as they run out of condoms (Video)

Fears of an increased number of HIV/Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases has hit Uganda after it was revealed in a report that the East African nation no longer have condoms available. During a recent report on NBS Morning Breeze, it was claimed that people can no longer get condoms easily as they only have 132 units available this year, instead of a supply of 240 units of condoms in a year. Back in 2014, there was an outcry in Uganda as many men issued urgent calls for larger sizes of condoms because of their big sexual organs.

Woman orders laundry basket from Amazon but what was delivered was not what she expected

A woman suffered an online shopping fail when she ordered a laundry basket on Amazon only to receive a product that wasn't what she expected. Lauren Lacey, from Nottinghamshire, thought she had found a bargain when she came across an affordable laundry basket on Amazon that cost 91p. Due to how cheap it was, she ordered three. But when the "laundry baskets" arrived, Lauren was shocked to find they were about the size of her hand and could only fit a few pairs of socks. It turned out what Lauren had ordered weren’t laundry baskets at all, but tiny desk organisers designed to hold pens, glasses, and makeup brushes. Lauren shared the story on the Hinch Army Cleaning Tips group on Facebook and it amused other group members. Sharing photos of the tiny baskets, Lauren wrote: "So I thought I was getting a bargain, three washing baskets at 91p each, guess who didn’t read the description?" 3 Vigilante members arrested over the gruesome murder of a 24-year old 400 level student of Olabisi Onabanjo University

Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested three members of a local vigilante group in Ijebu-Igbo, popularly known as “Yaluwon” over the gruesome murder of a 24-year old 400 level student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU.   The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi in a press statement said the suspects, Idowu Ayodele a.k.a Olori Odo, Segun Ogunbanwo Kikisore and Salisu Akeem were arrested following a petition written to the Commissioner of Police by the father of the victim, one Surakat Obisanwo who complained that his son, Ahmed Obisanwo and one of his friends were arrested on the 8th of August, 2019 at Ijebu-Igbo by the local security outfit on allegation that the two friends were members of Eiye cult group.   Obisanwo further stated in his petition that the security men claimed that they were taken the arrested victims to Ijebu-Igbo Police Station but the enquiry made at the police station revealed that the boys were never taken th
