BREAKING: Protest in Abuja over rape allegations against COZA pastor, Fatoyinbo

Protesters have converged on NNPC filling station at Guzape over rape allegations levelled against the Founder and Global Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo. Some of the placards held by protesters read ‘We are watching you,’ ‘Your Pastor is not your God,’ ‘Thou shall not rape’ and ‘No to sexual abuse in my church’ among others with the hashtag ‘#ChurchToo.’ The protesters, including one of the leaders of the Bring Back Our Girls movement, Aisha Yesufu, could be seen wearing white in solidarity with victims of rape. This follows allegations of rape against Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo, photographer and wife of inspirational singer, Timi Dakolo.

Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola, on Saturday, denied reports saying that he commisoned a new house. Responding to the news, the man nicknamed Mr Authentic wrote on Instagram that he had been advised not to “refute the claim” because it was positive. He, however, said that he was looking forward to commissioning a new house and prayed for those who wished him well.

Deportations of undocumented migrants to begin after July 4, says Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump says deportation of undocumented migrants will begin after July 4. “We will be removing large numbers of people… starting sometime after July 4,” Trump said, having earlier noted that the deportations would begin “unless we do something pretty miraculous.” . . Yahoo girl bags 8-months jail sentence

A yahoo girl identified as Isaac Christiana Nkemdirim has bagged an 8-months jail sentence, after being arraigned by the  EFCC.  The yahoo girl who bagged an 8-months jail sentence, pleaded guilty to the one count charge of obtaining by false pretence contrary to Section 15(2)(a) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2002 as amended and punishable under 15(3) of the same Act.  The full statement by EFCC reads; The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office today, June 28, 2019 secured the conviction of Isaac Christiana Nkemdirim before Justice M.G. Umar of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State. Italian football club, AC Milan have struck a deal with UEFA to serve a one-year ban from European football over breaches of Financial Fair Play rules.   The club, which finished fifth in Italy’s Serie A, will miss next season’s Europa League and UEFA will end its proceedings against the Italians for overspending, said the Court of Arbitration for Sport. “AC Milan is excluded from Uefa club competitions of the sporting season 2019-2020,” said Cas.   Milan’s ban means AS Roma, who came sixth in the standings, move up to the Europa League group stage while their place in the qualifying rounds is taken by seventh-placed Torino. Seven-time European champions Milan finished one point behind local rivals Inter, who took the final Champions League qualifying place. Woman uses Twitter to search for brother she never met and finds him living 30 minutes away

A 27-year-old woman from Johannesburg, South Africa, took to Twitter to ask for help in finding the brother she never met. And she got the help she asked for. Poet Sanelisiwe Sani Xaba shared a tweet with details about her long-lost sibling, including his name, where he was born, and their mother’s name. She added: “I am your sister. Please retweet and help me find my brother. I need him.” Fortunately, a follower who recognised the name got in touch with Sanelisiwe and helped reconnect her with her brother who was taken away from their mother by his dad before Sanelisiwe was born. President Buhari’s aide, Tolu Ogunlesi and former Presidential candidate Oby Ezekwesili, have both reacted to the rape allegation against Pastor Fatoyinbo. While Tolu Ogunlesi revealed that his 2013 article ‘Touch Not My Anointed’ was inspired by the rape acts allegedly perpetrated by  Pastor Fatoyinbo , Oby Ezekwesili who also reacted called on the Police and Public Prosecution to take the lead to seek justice for victims and signal deterrent. Tolu who also took a swipe at Lere Olayinka for saying the Pastor Fatoyinbo had consensual sex with Busola Dakolo, stated that the story within COZA will be that the devil attacked the church. Adesua Etomi and Akah Nnani who both reacted to the statement released by  Pastor Fatoyinbo , have asked him to step down as the senior pastor of the church pending the outcome of an investigation. Adesua Etomi and Akah Nnani who called for Pastor Fatoyinbo to step down as COZA Senior Pastor, stated that till the law takes its due course, he shouldn’t preach at the church. Adesua Etomi wrote; The law is in place for a reason. Robber lures Uber driver with suya to steal car

A robber who lured an Uber driver with suya to steal his car, has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team in Lagos. The 34-year-old robber identified as Iwueze Kingsley, had lured the unsuspecting Uber Driver named Clifford Echereode to a bar in the FESTAC area of Lagos on the night of April 22, 2019 under the pretence of needing his taxi service and also giving his suya. He reportedly claimed his brother was returning to Nigeria from Ghana that night, and so needed someone to pick him up. While they waited for a few more minutes before heading to the airport, Iwueze who persuaded the victim to follow him to the said bar to take some drinks and barbecued meat popularly known as suya, had perfected his plan as the barbecued meat was laced with a drug known as ‘antivan’.
