Towards the end of last year, the Nigerian industry was greeted by a movie titled “The Wedding Party” produced by Ebony Life Tv, in conjunction with Inkblot Inc, and directed by Kemi Adetiba. Characterization. The Wedding Party  featured an array of A-list actors and actresses such as Richard Mofe Damijo, Ireti Doyle, Sola Sobowale, Ace comedian Ali Baba, Somkele Idhalama, Adesua Etomi, Banky W, Enyinna Nyinwe, Musician Ikechukwu, Beverly Naya and a host of others. Plot. The movie is centered on two Lover birds, Dunni and Dozie played by Adesua Etomi and Banky W who are getting married. The couple who are 100% in love are faced by their mothers played by Sola Sobowale and Ireti Doyle who are at logger heads over whose family is more wealthy. The wedding is which is supposed to seal the union of both families, is about to be shattered by the effort of Rosie played by Beverly Naya who happens to be Dozie’s ex-girlfriend. Popular Yoruba movie actor, and Publicity Secretary of Moji Olaiya’s burial committee, Yomi Fabiyi has reacted to Cyber bullying and how these set of people are using the internet to destroy the image of others. According to the actor, these bullies blackmail with lies, unverified facts and bigotry, and believe hurting a celebrity’s brand online is payback, and using a anonymous account, they can go uncaught and unpunished. The actor advised other celebrities that the best way to survive the era of cyber-bullying, until the Government makes effort to putting a stop to it, is to try as much as possible not to respond to irrelevances online, especially those with malicious motives, by developing a thick skin and simply ignore. The hilarious and educative comedy movie produced by  Toyin Abraham  in conjunction with  ‘Film Service Media ‘ which sold out shows at major cinemas last Friday, has placed it firmly in the current top 5 releases of 2017. The other movies in this list include  Okafor’s Law , which made  N90million ,  Omugwo,  with  N48million,   Hire A Man  with  N45million  and  American Driver  with  N41million . None of these movies beat “ Alakada’s Reloaded”  opening weekend.

A new experience is out for the lovers of Nigerian stories as  Funke Akindele and her husband  premieres Industreet, a movie that tells the story of Nigerian artistes, their lives before fame and their struggles that are well packaged for no one to see. This Premiere had the cast and crew, some who are already known and some making their debut on screen. Funke Akindele talked about the series which hit the screen, yesterday 26th of May. According to her, the series was written by her husband, JJC Skillz, and she and her team gave it more life with more scenes and drama to suit the Nigerian market and tell the African story.
