A 20-year-old self-confessed sniper of the dreaded Eiye confraternity in Lagos State, Mariam Abiola, Monday revealed how she killed four rival gang members in the Ilasamaja area of the state. Abiola, who admitted dropping out of school in Senior Secondary School 3, was arrested on Monay morning. The girl, who was arrested together with three male accomplices, said it was easier for her to operate unnoticed wearing a hijab. She told police interrogators that a member of her gang she described as an herbalist always prepared charms for her before she embarked on any major operation. Abiola narrated, “I was arrested early last year in Mushin. I had run away from my parents’ home in Abeokuta, Ogun State, when I was 15 years. Rose Odika is a well known name in Nollywood. She is the present Governor of the Theater And Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Oyo State chapter. But many are not aware that she is a daughter to Madam Grace Odika, who was born on July 30th 1948 in Akure, Ondo State to the family of Mr and Mrs Nkemdiche. She is a trained Typist and a member of Christian Women Association of Nigeria. She is blessed with children and grandchildren. Madam Grace started her career as a staff of PZ company, and she worked between 1963 and1967 at Ijora, Lagos State. Later in 1968, she got married and became a full time house wife. In her bid to socialize, she joined Girls Guide in Lagos in 1965. She attended St George ‘s Primary School with a standard 6 certificate and later went to Typing Institute at Obalende, Lagos between 1963 to 1964.

The organizers of the Prestigious Prominent Oyo People’s Awards {POPA} has unveiled Yoruba Actress, Kemi Afolabi as the host for the 2018 edition of the much talked about annual event. The Award ceremony, which promises to be classy, will hold on June 26 th  2018, at Mauve 21 Event Center, Ring Road, Ibadan, Oyo State. It kicks off with Red Carpet by 1PM. If you must know, the host, Kemi Afolabi was born on 28th of April 1978 in Lagos, but has her roots from  Ijebu Ayepe, Ogun State. She graduated from the University of Lagos. Her first appearance in Yoruba movie was in Alagba and several others.
