Photos & Video: Villagers Cut Open Huge Crocodile To Find Young Boy Inside (Graphic)

Distressing footage has emerged showing a crocodile being cut open to reveal theharrowing remains of an eight-year-old boy. 

The video shows villagers in Zimbabwe’s Mashonaland Central Province, cutting open a crocodile to show the devastating remains of a child who’d been recently eaten by the beast.

The fearsome croc was shot dead by villagers after they suspected he’d eaten the small child, the Mirror reports.

To their horror, on cutting open the monster’s body their suspicions were confirmed, as they saw the horrific remains of the poor child in the creature’s stomach.

An eyewitness filmed the grisly event in the village of Mushumbi Pools and brave volunteers can be seen dissecting the creature and removing the remains of the lost boy.

Simbarashe Sithole, a local reporter said:

The crocodile was shot and was then cut open. The boy’s remains were found in the beast’s stomach.

The grim footage shows the villagers and a policeman watching on in silence as the poor child is quietly removed from the beast’s stomach.

The child, who has not been named, was given a funeral and buried in the village two days later.

Experts believe a recent spate of crocodile sightings and attacks is due to the rising river and water levels due to the heavy rain, which has been hitting the country recently.
